Character Education
Each month we will be discussing a new character trait.
The students will listen to a story and complete activities about kindness. We will discuss various ways we can show kindness. The students will also have another teacher, Mrs. Moss, come to our classroom to discuss this wonderful trait and complete activities. We are looking forward to teaching your child about traits to become a good citizen.
If your child is showing one of our character traits they could be recognized for their efforts in being a good citizen.
We will begin our CHAMP ASSEMBLIES in January. We will go to the cafeteria each Friday morning to watch one of our K-2nd classes perform and teach us about a character trait we have learned. Mrs. Koonce will pass out certificates to celebrate your child’s efforts. Teachers from around to school can turn in your child’s name to receive a certificate for showing great character. Students could be demonstrating any of the traits at any time. They could also be noticed being a champ from any teacher at any time. This is a big deal, so please discuss with your child the character traits and encourage them to model these traits at school. These traits will help them become great students, friends, and good citizens.
