About Mrs. Barlow
Thank you so much for trusting me with your child. I am sure we are going to have a great year filled with learning.
I am looking forward to learning about you and your child!
Here is some information about me!
I have been teaching for 17 years. I have taught 1st grade for 13 years and six years is in 2nd grade. I will now be changing roles this year and will become an early interventionist and dyslexia teacher. I am so excited about this role. I will work with students in kindergarten for early intervention of reading and writing skills and help students in grades up to 5th grade with dyslexia intervention.
I attended Kilgore Junior College and U.T. Tyler to receive my teaching certificate. My first year of teaching was at Chandler Elementary in Kilgore. I also taught first grade there. I then moved to White Oak and love it! I love living and teaching in the community. I love seeing the students bloom throughout the year.
I am married to a White Oak alumni, Chris Barlow! He was so proud of being a Roughneck, he couldn’t see himself raising his kids anywhere else. I have to agree! White Oak is a wonderful school and place to raise a family. We have two children: Hayley is a junior in college and Blake is 16 and is in the 11th grade.
I have always had a love for children and wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. I can remember playing school with all of my stuffed animals.
I love seeing the bright smiles on my students’ faces when they learn something new. They are always so proud of themselves and I am proud of them, also. Every child can learn!
My hobbies are reading and spending time with my family.
I am looking forward to learning about your child, so that I may help them bloom into a successful student!
