If they are not going straight home they will want to bring a change of clothes. PLEASE have them bring a water bottle! I cannot wait to enjoy this fun day with them!

Dear Parents,
Our Valentine’s Day party is scheduled for Tuesday, February 14th, from 12:00 to 1:00. Your child can create a Valentine box or sack at home to bring to school. Please bring the box or sack by Friday, February 10th. If your child is unable to bring a box or sack I will have materials for them to make one here at school that Friday. Your child is to bring a Valentine card for each of his/her classmates. You may start sending the Valentine’s cards to school Friday, February 10th. Please try to bring them no later than Monday, February 13th. Please do not send anything with peanut butter ingredients because we do have allergies in the school. Your child may copy the class list below on the outside of their cards. Our room mothers for this party will be contacting you if you completed a pink room mother form. They may be asking for help with food items and/or help at the party. All parents are welcome to come and enjoy the party with your child. We are looking forward to a fun, exciting party.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Brandi Barlow
I will also send home a note this week.

The following is a letter explaining a new app that will give you insight to your child’s activities and learning each day. They post work and you will get an email.
Dear Parents,
This year we’re going to use a new tool to share what we’re learning in class called Seesaw. Your child will have his or her own learning journal, and you can get notified when your child adds new items. It’s completely private — only you can see your child’s journal outside of class.
Click on https://app.seesaw.me/s/485-027-077 to sign up — it takes just 30 seconds.
Once you sign up, you can download the Seesaw Parent app for iPhone or Android, or access your child’s journal on the web.
The kids are super excited and have already downloaded some of their work. They are patiently waiting for you to be able to view, like, and even comment on their work in stations, reading, math, and all they are doing in the classroom. Sometimes if we do something as a class we will share it on all of the student journal blogs.
Thanks!

Please don’t forget to send 12 taped eggs (no chocolate, unwrapped candy, and NO peanut products), basket for hunting, and items for the party! If your child does have an allergy please check the contents of their eggs before they eat anything just in case! The party will begin at 9:00 am. Parents able to help will be welcome to come at 8:30 to hide eggs and set up the room. The students can leave after the party with you, but if they don’t we will have lunch served at 10:20 and an early release at 11:00! Thanks for all of your support!
