Reading – Research
Writing – The students are making a book from a story they wrote last week. We read Franklin Gets Lost and then wrote a story about a time we were lost.
Math – Measurement
We are discussing the importance of standard units in length. They measured items using non-standard units to using standard measurement with a ruler.
Science – Research
Homework due Friday!

Parents are welcome to come to the Earth Day park day this Friday! We will be attending our Champs assembly and we will show videos of the student’s recycle pbl after that in our rooms. We will then leave to go to the park. Please look for a note that explains all this in more detail!
Also, PLEASE send an empty water bottle with your child sometime before Thursday. It will be used in a planting project at the park!
Reading – End of year TPRI assessment
Research a passion they have and write facts to teach others!
Writing – Plan and write a passion they have researched.
Phonics – syllables
Spelling – We will have spelling words in our planner, but we will not take our assessment until next Friday.
Math – 2d and 3D shapes and solid figures
Science – Recycle
Day at the Park on Friday for Earth Day!
Please look for a letter coming home on Monday or Tuesday!
We will be out of school next Monday the 25th.

Weekly Learning Week 31
Reading – The students will be learning more about recycling and why it is important for our planet through research.
Writing – The students will be able to write persuasive statements about issues that are important to the student for the appropriate audience in the school, home or local community.
Phonics – final stable syllable patterns – (ble, tle, gle, zle)
tumble, stumble, able, cable, title, juggle, fizzle
Spelling – line, set, own, under, read, stumble, title
Math – The students will learn the vocabulary and attributes of 2d/3d shapes and solid figures. They will use this information and apply the information learned and create these 2d/3d shapes and solid figures.
Science – Recycle Projects
Homework:
Read each night and have your reading log signed.
Math homework due on Friday.
Fluency Poem should be read each night and turned in Friday.
