I would like to give a big thank you  to Mrs. Young and Mrs. Williams for organizing and hosting the Christmas party.  I would also like to thank all of the moms and dads that were there to help and the ones that sent items.  I think the kids had a wonderful time!  Thank you for everything and for allowing me to teach your precious treasure!  I hope each and every family has a Wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!  I can’t wait to see my little ones back on January 7, 2013!  

The students are coming home with a present to put under the tree for you.  It is fragile.  I have asked them to be very careful with their gift bag.  I hope you enjoy!

It is the last week of school before Christmas Break!  Wow!  We will have early release at 11:00 on Thursday and Friday.  Our Christmas Party will be this Friday from 9:00 – 10:00!

I will be taking up guided reading books and library books before the break, but please have your child read books from home during the break!  This will help them remain at their level when returning after our break!

Thank you again for trusting me with your child this year!  We have had a great learning experience and I know next year will be just as great!  I can’t wait to see them “next year”!

Thank you all for allowing me to teach your child!  I love and want the best for each and everyone of them!  Each one of them touch my heart daily!

Working on word parts to help us spell different words:  ea, ou, ow, ch

We have written our Santa letters!  We will begin writing a fantasy story about visiting Santa at the North Pole!

We are continuing addition this week and will begin subtraction next week.

We are all making a great deal of progress in reading!  Remember to read every night!  I am so proud of all my little first graders!
