We are writing letters to Santa using the writing process.
by Marley

The students are planning a letter together to write interactively to Santa from our whole class. They will then practice skills and concepts learned to write their own letter to Santa. We use the process of writing in all we do. We plan, write, revise, edit, and publish our work. We try to apply this concept to all problem solving and learning that we do in our class to help us remember to check over all of our work.

Today we read The Great Turkey Race Ask me about the story elements.
by Sean

We will be creating our own class story using good story elements. The students have planned a story about a duck named Mike that flies the wrong direction to go South for the winter. He will need to go to school and learn how to use a compass. We hope he gets south before the really cold weather hits. We will have it written and put on the website soon. Check back next week.
