This week has been very busy. We have learned to be drug free kids! We have been practicing adding and subtracting! We are learning to watch our signs. We have learned about courage and will be starting to learn about self control in November. We are practicing how to revise by reading and helping our friends revise their stories. We have had a great week. I hope you have a great and safe Halloween!

The students have read their stories on the computer. They created a pumpkin character. The students planned using story elements. We have learned that good stories need characters, settings, events or problems, and solutions to the problems. Please check back because your child’s story will be posted on our blog soon. Some students are ready to view.
Go to the right and click on Mrs. Barlow’s Published Work under links. We hope you enjoy!

We have had a great week and are looking forward to our field trip to the Pumpkin Patch on Tuesday. If you would like to know more about the place we are visiting you can google Paradise Gardens in Pittsburg.
Have a great weekend! Remember to read!

We wrote fall poems.
by Lindsay
Using what we learned in Science about our five senses helped us write a poem about Fall. We wrote one together and then each child wrote their own poem.
Here is our class poem!
Fall
When I…
see leaves falling,
hear leaves falling in a pile – crunch, crunch, crunch,
smell smoke from a campfire,
taste chicken and turkey at Thanksgiving dinner,
feel the cool wind,
I know it’s Fall!
