Christmas Seussical will be on December 13 at 9a.m. Notes have been posted and speaking parts have been sent home. Please check your child’s folder for more information. This will be the only performance. We hope you can come and enjoy this awesome show!
On Friday our class met knew friends in another state! They Skyped us and we played a game that made us use our inference skills, question skills, writing skills, reasoning skills, listening skills, and the list goes on. The students had to ask questions using a map to figure out where our out of state friends lived. Do you border an ocean? How many states do you border? Do you live in the north? We realized as a class that as our questions were answered that we needed to decide how our questions would then need to change. The other class also asked us questions. We now have friends in a school in Georgia. Fun while learning! 
We made homemade butter, had a feast in our classroom, and watched Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving! It was a great day to be in 2nd grade and to be thankful for our wonderful friends.
We took a quick trip outside to see and feel the snow!

Make up a sentence using the word that you chose.
Have your child write the sentence.
They need to revise (read it back to check if it sounds right)!
They need to edit (check for capitals at the beginning of the sentence, punctuation, and check spelling of word wall words!
