The students wrote a persuasive letter to me about what they would want to do the last few days of school. They had to explain what they would learn and practice! We then graphed our data. The students chose between board games (cooperative learning), science experiments, and technology/STEM day. I will send out a reminder of when we will have a board game day. Since they did so well persuading me, I have decided to give each of them their vote. Be on the look out for the day they can bring one board game of their choice to share with their classmates. It has been an awesome year! Thank you for sharing them with me!

Dear Parents,
We have our 2nd Grade Field Day tomorrow from 12:30 – 2:30! It will be a great day. You are welcome to join us! The kids will be getting wet! They may want to bring a towel! If they are not going straight home they will want to bring a change of clothes. PLEASE have them bring a water bottle! I cannot wait to enjoy this fun day with them!

The Read-A-Thon was over today, but they will continue to take donations for 10 more days! We appreciate all of your help! Fingers crossed that Mrs. Barlow’s class is still in the lead! We will find out tomorrow!

Tomorrow is our field trip to Callie’s Acres! Wear a maroon/WO shirt. Please remember to bring a drink (NO SODAS – they will attract bees) and your sack lunch (unless you are buying one from the cafeteria). Please remember to put on sunscreen before you leave! Parents are welcome to meet us there! It will be a great day.
