Reading:  We will be reading fables and identifying the moral of the story or lesson that was taught from the story.

Writing:  We will learn how to address envelopes and practice writing friendly letters.  We will begin the WEE Deliver program.

Word Work:  We will continue working on understanding contractions.  The students will need to start reading and apply the learning of contractions into their writing.

Spelling: Review 20
New Words:  another, came, come, work, three
Review Words:  what, there, then, many, time, first, little, new, around, of, to, it, for, was, all, when, do, them, my, over, did, very, most, go, our, too
Extra Words:  friend, home, house, left, school, us, wanted
The students need to make sure they use the writing process during the dictation part of the test.

Math:  We will begin double digit subtraction.  This week will begin the process of understanding subtraction with regrouping.

Social Studies:  Martin Luther King, Jr.

Homework:  Spelling Test will be on Friday.
Math subtraction pages will be due on Friday.
Read each night and get your reading log signed.
Each content of homework they turn in will give them a ticket toward a prize on their designated day.
