Reading:  Main Idea
The students will learn about the main idea and the details that lead up to the main idea.

Math:  Place Value to the thousands place

Spelling:  Spelling Words:
New Words:  long, little, very, after, words
Review Words:  with, there, about, many, first, people, down, the, a, in, you, that, are, from, or, one, then, many, could, make, its, made, use
Extra Words:
Please make sure they can read these words.  The will be posted on the board for them to use as a resource.

Phonics:  Consonant Digraphs
th, sh, ph, wh, ch

Writing:  How to…
How to Catch a Turkey using the writing process.  We will use this piece of writing to write a fiction story next week.

Social Studies:  Native Americans

Homework:
Practice a new spelling word each night and we will have the test on Friday.
Math Homework:  Two pages due on Friday
Reading:  Read each night and get your reading log initialed for a ticket.
Fluency:  Read the poem and work on fluency, phrasing, and expression.
